Oracle Announces Integration of Oracle Transportation Management 6.1 with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0
Today, Oracle announced the integration of Oracle Transportation Management 6.1 with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0. Oracle will provide a single ERP platform so that customers can reduce operation and transportation costs while increasing their efficiency.
Oracle’s Transportation Management solution already had planning and execution capabilities that connected companies with shippers and third parties, making the transportation process smoother and easier. Their Transportation Management application streamlines the business process, improves customer service, and lowers transportation costs.
The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 includes operational efficiency features, in additional to financial management, supply chain management, and human resource management tools. The JD Edwards ERP solution helps businesses address technical and business challenges.
Now that the Transportation Management software and the EnterpriseOne software will be combined, the new enhanced ERP product will increase the efficiency of transportation management. Oracle’s integrated product will automate manual processes, such as freight payments. The new platform will make supply chain processes easier. Customers will also be able to process complex sales orders without downloading new applications or software. The integration of Oracle’s Transportation Management and JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.0 will increase ROI and reduce the overall cost of ownership.
There are many new and updated features of Oracle’s integrated ERP solution. There are additional dashboard reports, including CO2 Emissions and Total Fuel Consumption monitors. There is also the new Oracle Global Trade Management solution, which will help companies manage imports and exports. The Oracle Fleet Management feature will be expanded to further support complex transportation scenarios.
Oracle commented on the improvements and potential of their latest ERP product. “Logistics and transportation management is an incredibly complex area that presents many different challenges for organizations as they try to optimize their supply chains,†said Derek Gittoes, Oracle Vice President, Logistics Product Strategy. “The integration of the latest releases of Oracle Transportation Management and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne addresses these challenges by seamlessly unifying best-in-class capabilities on a single platform.
