NorthCape International Selects SYSPRO ERP
Recently, a leading manufacturer of high quality and high value outdoor furniture and accessories, has decided to implement SYSPRO ERP. NorthCape International, the Illinois-based furniture manufacturer, deployed the SYSPRO ERP solution to provide sophisticated insight into various operations, to add forecasting and planning functionality, and to support product-line expansion. Previously, NorthCape International had been using QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. However, since the QuickBooks software was not a Manufacturing ERP solution, it was unable to generate the necessary business intelligence data needed to increase operating efficiency and support the long term growth of the organization.
According to Chief Financial Officer, Erin Walsh, the recent addition of a domestic cushion manufacturing segment pushed the organization to seek and deploy a Manufacturing ERP solution that could compliment the organizations key business strengths. Walsh said, “We conducted an extensive search including Exact, Epicor, Greentree, Microsoft and NetSuite.”
SYSPRO ERP was chosen because the application had a quick learning curve because of the easy to use interface, and the functionality of the application was the best fit for the furniture manufacturer. NorthCape International was able to leverage the quick implementation methodology and the expertise of the local reseller to get the system up and running quickly through the organization. Walsh believes that the advanced features of the SYSPRO ERP solution such as production planning, profitability analysis, inventory forecasting and other business intelligence features will help to improve NorthCape International and increase the profitability of the company.
