Openbravo World Conference brings the Openbravo global community together in Barcelona
– From April 18-19 in Barcelona, Openbravo will debut its largest conference to date with the aim of providing a networking arena for the entire community in which to meet Openbravo executives and learn more about Openbravo –
Barcelona, Spain and Cambridge, Massachusetts (March 09, 2009) – Openbravo, the leading developer of web-based open source Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Point of Sale (POS) solutions for businesses, has announced the inaugural Openbravo World Conference will take place from April 18 – 19, 2009 in Barcelona, Spain, preceded by an exclusive Partner Day on April 17.
This free event will see the largest global gathering of Openbravo community members to date, with close to 300 attendees expected. The Openbravo World Conference will feature sessions from community members sharing their experience from working with Openbravo ERP, along with those of Openbravo’s visionaries. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Openbravo’s management team, core developers, other partners and fellow community members to discover future plans and success stories. Individuals and companies will be rewarded in the first Openbravo Community Awards – presented for outstanding contributions to ERP and POS projects.
Renowned keynote speakers will be kicking off the conference, including Matt Asay, Alfresco’s VP of Business Development and Richard Daley, CEO of Pentaho, both experts in open source enterprise. “Empowering the Ecosystem” will be the recurring theme throughout the conference, with sessions featuring Openbravo’s progress in software creation. Openbravo’s CEO and CTO, Manel Sarasa and Paolo Juvara, will respectively cover the business strategy and technological angles of Openbravo’s innovative approach. Other sessions will focus on localization, best practices for building modules and the product roadmap.
