Network Solutions and IBM Ink Cooperative Marketing Agreement for Small Business Offerings
Agreement makes it easier for customers to turn their business into an e-business
HERNDON, Va (November 01, 1999) – Network Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:NSOL), a leading registrar of Web addresses, and IBM (NYSE:IBM) today announced plans to cooperatively market their respective Internet identity and Web site creation and hosting services for small businesses.
Under the agreement, IBM will provide a hypertext link to the Network Solutions’ Web address registration services from its IBM HomePage Creator for e-business site at http://www.ibm.com/hpc. Likewise, Network Solutions will provide a hypertext link to the IBM HomePage Creator for e-business small business resource center, the dot com toolkitTM at http://www.dotcomdirectory.com/nsi/dotcomtoolkit/.
Network Solutions’ registration services in .com, .net and .org help businesses launch and maximize their presence on the Web. Branded as “the dot com people!,” Network Solutions aggressively markets to build a lifetime relationship with Web address customers though channel partnerships and marketing agreements with companies like American Express, Microsoft, Yahoo! and now IBM.
IBM’s award-winning HomePage Creator for e-business service (HPC) enables small businesses to become e-businesses quickly, easily and cost-effectively by providing the tools they need to get on the Web.
