IBM Partners with Extricity Software to Deliver Business-to-Business Integration Solutions
Agreement Enables Customers to Easily Create Real-Time Internet-Based Trading Partner Communities
Somers, NY (November 29, 1999) – IBM today announced an agreement with Extricity** Software, Inc.to deliver Internet-based business-to-business (B2B) integration software solutions worldwide. Under the agreement, IBM will resell and market Extricity AllianceSeries** B2B e-commerce software.
The agreement with Extricity extends IBM’s industry-leading business integration family of products — including MQSeries*, MQSeries Integrator, MQSeries Workflow and related partner-based solutions — to address the marketplace need for B2B integration and collaboration over the Internet.
IBM’s software, in combination with Extricity’s software, enables companies primarily in the banking and finance, insurance, manufacturing, and retail industries, to quickly and economically create:
Portals and electronic exchanges that connect buyers with sellers
Back-end e-commerce integration applications to automate processes including ordering and fulfillment
Supply chain integration applications that link businesses with customers, suppliers and distributors
