CDC Software Adds 3E Company
Through Alliance, CDC Software Helps Leading Global Chemical Manufacturing Customer Address Environmental Health and Safety Regulatory Compliance
HONG KONG, ATLANTA (January 28, 2009) –
CDC Software, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDC Corporation (NASDAQ: CHINA) and a provider of industry-specific enterprise software applications and business services, announced today that it has added environmental health and safety compliance (EH&S) functionality to its Ross Enterprise suite of ERP solutions. This EH&S solution was also recently implemented by a current chemical manufacturing customer of Ross, SI Group.
Through its alliance with Carlsbad, Calif.-based 3ECompany®, a leading provider of environmental health and safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services, CDC Software is now offering the MSDgen Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) authoring system with CDC Software’s Ross Enterprise suite of ERP solutions. As part of this alliance, CDC Software also intends to promote 3E’s other award-winning chemical lifecycle solutions to its customers.
MSDgen supports global environmental regulatory compliances through the creation and maintenance of reliable hazard communication documentation that is designed to meet current international regulatory compliance and business requirements. The solution provides support of hazard communication, classification, and labeling directives to generate globally-compliant MSDS and label documents, as well as business/user definable documents, such as technical data sheets, product data sheets, hazard summaries and product stewardship.
This new product helps to extend CDC Software’s comprehensive portfolio of compliance solutions for the process manufacturing industry. CDC Software also supports IT compliance through its CDC Global Services business unit; product compliance through its Ross Enterprise solutions that support FDA, HACCP, Track and Trace, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), 21CFR Part 11 and others specific to the Food and Beverage, Life Sciences and Chemical industries; EH&S through 3ECompany; and Financial compliance through Ross Enterprise’s financial applications that supports Sarbanes-Oxley reporting.
Long-time Ross Enterprise customer, SI Group, a leading global manufacturer of alkylphenols, phenolic resins and other chemical intermediates has recently implemented MSDgen. “We’re very pleased with this solution and especially like how it improves our reporting accuracy by allowing us to easily validate bills of lading and match container sizes,” said Allen Look, global director of information technology, SI Group. “The system also helps speed up our order entry process and improves our efficiency by making it easier to monitor and maintain compliance.”
“With the addition of MSDgen and 3E EHS solutions to our Ross ERP products, CDC Software has extended its comprehensive offerings to manufacturing customers needing compliance solutions to help reduce their administrative costs, risk and liability, while improving process efficiencies,” said Tom Fallucco, director of Strategic Alliances, CDC Software. “3E offers the breadth and depth of EHS solutions for our customers with the ability to deliver critical regulatory content, EHS platform and services. This alliance further illustrates how CDC Software has continued to expand its industry-specific solutions that address customers’ evolving industry requirements.”
“Ross Enterprise is well-known in the process manufacturing industries as a premier ERP solution that directly addresses customers’ specific vertical industry requirements,” said Prabhu Natarajan, director of Strategic Alliances and Product Marketing, 3E Company. “Through their alliance with 3E, CDC Software can now provide their customers with a comprehensive solution in EH&S compliance that helps optimize their sustainability and product stewardship programs.”
