NetSuite Offers Deep ERP Integration with CyberSource to Prevent Fraud

ERP software suite provider NetSuite, has announced a partnership with CyberSource, a Visa company. The two organizations are working together to complete a product integration that will enable companies running on NetSuite to leverage the CyberSource Decision Manager, a fraud management solution.

As a result, NetSuite ERP users will enjoy a completely integrated, cloud-based order management process. NetSuite is the first SaaS business management software suite to fully integrate CyberSource Decision Manager technology into its core business processes.

There is significant demand for fraud protection for companies operating in the eCommerce space. Credit card fraud is an increasing problem that can significantly cut into the profitability of the business. When fraudulent cards are used, eCommerce companies suffer losses from unrecovered shipments, chargeback fees and even the manpower invested to process orders.

A report issued by CyberSource showed that total eCommerce losses as a result of fraud totaled $3.3 billion in 2009, averaging to 1.2 percent of all online sales. The company also indicated that roughly one in every four eCommerce orders is manually screened for fraud.

In working together, NetSuite and CyberSource can help customers to minimize their exposure to and expenses associated with fraud, while also streamlining the order processes through enhanced automated screening. Current NetSuite customers can begin sending transaction details to the CyberSource Decision Manager for fraud screening by simply checking a box.

Gary Wiessinger, NetSuite Vice President of Product Management, shared that the partnership with CyberSource is a natural one as the company offers a complete set of cloud-based payment management services that are fully integrated with NetSuite order management workflows.
