IBM Global Services Wins Top Honor for Its Knowledge Management Innovations

ORLANDO, Fla (March 10, 1998) – IBM today received the top honor in a prestigious industry awards competition that recognizes excellence and innovation in the growing area of knowledge management.
Giga Information Group, one of the nation’s most influential information technology analyst organizations, and the Workflow and Reengineering International Association (WARIA), named IBM Global Services the gold award winner in the category of document and knowledge management at the Ninth Annual Giga Excellence Awards.
Announced today at the Business Process & Knowledge Management conference, the award cites IBM Global Services’ implementation and continued innovative use of ICM AssetWeb, a powerful strategic knowledge and asset management collaboration system.
Started three years ago by IBM Global Services’ Consulting Group, ICM (Intellectual Capital Management) AssetWeb has been extended for use by consultants and other IBM services professionals from around the globe to share methodologies, tools and other intellectual capital.
